A Lorain County woman was listed in fair condition after being attacked and shot last week at a Lorain County Metropark.

Matthew Plas, 25, was accused of attacking the woman as she took her daily walk. He made his first court appearance last Wednesday.

Judge Lisa Locke Graves denied Plas bond.

"I'm finding you pose a danger, a substantial risk to the community. I'm going to impose a no-release condition," Graves said.

Plas is charged with attempted murder and kidnapping. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in jail.
