POSTED: 11:56 a.m. EST March 7, 2003
CLEVELAND -- There is a new company out of Bellingham, Wash., filling prescriptions by mail to help U.S. citizens, Health Reporter Alicia Booth reported.
Some people are getting their prescriptions filled and paying a third less than they usually do. The company's name is Can Drug USA, and it lets Americans get cheaper prescriptions from Canada through the mail.
"It's such a hassle now crossing the border because of 9/11, plus they have to see a Canadian doctor, and pay a doctor fee usually in cash," said Chelle Davidson, the business owner.
The company sends the doctors a prescription form to fill out and then faxes it to a Canadian pharmacy partner.
