Court Rules Against Smoking Ban Exemption For VFW Halls

Veteran groups and similar organizations will have to put out their cigarettes inside their private clubs.

An Ohio appeals court has ruled that state health officials do not have the authority to exempt the clubs from the statewide smoking ban.

The court said any change would have to come from the state Legislature.

Veteran groups have said they may push for a ballot measure that allows the exemption.
