Area Farm Offers Healthiest Veggies Through 'Chef's Garden'

HURON, Ohio -- Medical Mutual of Ohio members and employees can take advantage of the some of the freshest and healthiest vegetables thanks to a partnership with The Chef's Garden Chef's Garden.

It's a small farm in Huron, Ohio, with rich soil comprised of old lake bottom land that helps nurture some of the world's best-tasting vegetables.

The partnership with Medical Mutual started Jan. 30.

Everything from herbs to specialty vegetables are grown using sustainable agricultural practices, which means there are no chemicals or synthetic fertilizers used. Once the produce is picked, it's packed and delivered right to the clients' homes within 24 hours.

The Chef's Garden currently offers more than 600 varieties of lettuces, greens, vegetables, herbs, and micro greens. The options change depending on what's in season.
