Police Seek Akron Bank Robber

Police in Akron are investigating a Friday morning bank robbery.

The robbery took place around 10:30 a.m. at the First Merit Bank on Brittain Road.

Employees said the robber entered the bank and handed the teller a threatening note, demanding money.

The robber fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a black man in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 to 180 pounds.

He was wearing wire rim glasses, an orange sweatshirt, red scarf, light-colored pants and white shoes.

Anyone with information should call Akron police.
