To microwave vegetables, put the vegetables in a microwave-proof dish, add about *#188; cup water, and cover tightly. Microwave all fresh vegetables on the high setting. Cook only until crisp-tender; the cooking continues for about 2 minutes after the dish is removed from the oven.
