AVON, Ohio -- A 1-year-old beagle is recovering from surgery after being hit by a car.

According to officials at the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary, Gaylord was found crawling and was taken to the pound. He went to the St. Francis Animal Sanctuary and is now at the Avon Lake Animal Clinic.

X-rays showed Gaylord had a fractured right pelvis and a dislocated hip. He had to have a $1,400 surgery to correct the problems.

The X-rays also found that Gaylord has been shot several times with BBs around the fractures.
