Study: Cleveland Ranks Worst Major City For Kids

Akron Ranks 46 Out Of 80 Large Cities

Cleveland has been ranked as the worst major city for children to live in, NewsChannel5 reported.

children That's according to a report done by a group called the Population Connection.

The group rates the quality of life for children living in different cities based on four factors: health, education, community and population. It also defines a major city as the main city in an metropolitan statistical area that contains at least 2.5 million people.

At the top of the list were Seattle and Boston. They got an A for the quality of life for children living there.

Three cities received A- grades: San Diego, San Francisco and Minneapolis.

In the large city rankings, two cities held the top spot. Des Moines, Iowa and Spokane, Wash. each received an A+.

Four large cities rank at the bottom of the list, receiving grades of C-. Those are Memphis, Tenn., New Orleans, Shreveport, La. and Birmingham, Ala.

The city of Akron got a B grade. It ranked number 46 out of 80 large cities. Find out more about Akron's report, here.
