Five couples compete for the final four spots on the semi-finals of “Dancing with the Stars.”
Each couple is slated to perform two unlearned dances Monday night.
Ice dancer Meryl Davis and Maks will perform a Viennese waltz, followed by a jive. Like every dance she’s had, Meryl should blow the roof off again. It also looks like Meryl got some support from a fellow Olympian.
Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy and Derek have to do a quickstep, then a jazz. At this point, I’m looking forward to anything Amy does. Apparently, she is too.
Ice dancer Charlie White and Sharna are rehearsing a foxtrot, as well as a samba. These two are great with any style. He's got a full schedule, but apparently lots of support.
Actress Candace Cameron and Mark are tweaking a Viennese waltz and a jazz. The jazz can be one of Mark’s secret weapons, so that could be good for Candace, as long as he doesn’t over-choreograph it. But she looks ready to rock the Fosse.
Singer James Maslow and Peta are preparing a cha cha, as well as a rumba. Are these semi-finals stacked? Faster and sensual dance styles are suited to these two.
One star gets eliminated tonight, before the final four head to the finals next week. I predict James will be out tonight. If not tonight, he will not make the final three next week; Charlie will be the last dude standing. Candace has slowly been fighting back from lower scores, and probably earning the underdog vote, but she could still be at risk. Too perfect for her own good Meryl might not be earning enough viewer votes, without showing struggle and growth, so she also might not make the final four. Brave Amy will likely win next week.
DWTS choreographer Kenny Ortega serves as guest judge.
