'She's a maniac, maniac on the floor': Interview with DeQuina Morre & Alison Ewing of 'Flashdance'

CLEVELAND - You know the song, the driving technopop rhythm and lyrics that make little sense (Example: "It can cut you like a knife if the gift becomes the fire on a wire between will and what will be.")

You know the premise: An attractive woman who works by day as a welder in a Pittsburgh steel mill welder ... and is a dancer by night.

Of course, it's “Flashdance” which first hit theaters 30 years ago.

It's back now. But instead of the big screen, you’ll find it on the PlayhouseSquare stage.

Wednesday at noon, two of the smash hit’s stars, DeQuina Morre (Kiki) and Alison Ewing (Tess), visited NewsChannel5 to talk about the musical.
