Red Hot Chili Peppers to play free concert in Cleveland for Obama campaign

CLEVELAND - While the Red Hot Chili Peppers are in town to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, they will also be campaigning for President Barack Obama.

The Grammy award-winning band will perform a free concert at Cleveland's House of Blues on Sunday for volunteers of the Obama campaign.

According to the President's website, area campaign workers who help out with the phone banks this week can get free tickets to the concert.

Doors open at 11:45 a.m. The exact time of the concert has not been announced.

The Hollywood-based Chili Peppers will be inducted into the Rock Hall during a ceremony Saturday night at Cleveland's Public Hall. Other inductees include the Beastie Boys, Laura Nyro, Donovan the Faces and Guns N' Roses.
