CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio - Over at Heights Guitars, it's not uncommon to see local acts from the Cleveland music scene in the store rocking' out.
"Its not high pressure," said Darrell Branch, who has been with the store for the past two years. "It's like coming into someone's living room that has a lot of gear."
With coffee tables, couches, love seats and even magazines right next to the massive rack of guitars ,you can see how you might feel right at home.
The employees are all musicians and pride themselves at working at a place that helps feed local musicians with equipment so they can please their fans. The shop is one of two, with the original store located in Toledo, Ohio. In fact, that store is getting a name change and you guessed it: the owner is going to call it Heights Guitars.
The guitar shop is located in Cleveland Heights on Lee Road. It's one of the last music stores in the area that is not corporate owned.
Branch and others said that's why local artists frequent the store. They want to go to place where everyone knows your name and understands the struggle of being a musician.
"Most of the musicians I know, they aren't in it to be famous. They just have stuff in them that needs to get out."
