UPDATED LIST: ‘Captain America: Winter Soldier' Cleveland locations; Shoreway closure begins Fri.

CLEVELAND - Road closures in Cleveland for the Marvel movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" are underway.

The movie stars Chris Evans as the red, white and blue clad Steve Rogers, and features Scarlett Johnansson and Samuel L. Jackson in their "The Avengers" roles. Cleveland was not only home to "The Avengers", but "Alex Cross", "Fun Size" and currently "Draft Day".

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission said they hope the movie positions the city to become a film industry destination, while creating jobs for northeast Ohioans. Turning downtown Cleveland streets into a movie set will involve temporary street closures and alternative routes from May 18 to June 28.

The city of Cleveland said has worked with the Division of Traffic and Engineering and Cleveland police to create a plan to keep traffic moving. In addition, the production company for "Captain America" will being paying for the additional police officers and traffic controllers needed for rush hour, special events and routine travel.
