They've made plenty of television movies and specials, but now Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang appear to be headed for bigger screens.
Charles Schulz's characters are set to star in an upcoming animated movie. There is no title yet but a release date of Nov. 25, 2015 has already been set. That year marks the 65th anniversary of the 'Peanuts" comic strip and the 50th anniversary of "A Charlie Brown Christmas."
20th Century Fox will produce the movie, which was partially written by Schulz's son Craig, and grandson, Bryan.
"We have been working on this project for years. We finally felt the time was right and the technology is where we need it to be to create this film," Craig Schulz said in a statement.
The creator of the "Peanuts" gang, Charles Schulz, died in 2000, the night before the final strip was published in newspapers.
