MICHAEL DOUGLAS can't wait to see the Broadway musical adaptation of his hit film WAR OF THE ROSES - because he thinks it will be hilarious.
The movie star portrayed a husband trying to end his marriage in the 1989 film, which also starred Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito, and he'll be one of the first in line to see the stageshow.
He tells WENN, "It's fabulous, a great idea... There should be a lot of great sight gags."
And Douglas might be in the running to reprise his character onstage: "I always say I want to do Broadway. I did some theater years ago and I was watching (wife) Catherine (Zeta-Jones) doing A Little Night Music and she was having all those hours versus movie hours, and of course, with actresses, it's a little more with hair and make-up; two shows twice a week.
"I say I want to do it and I would love to, but I haven't. I'm lazy."
