Country singer Brad Paisley's new album "Wheelhouse" went on sale Tuesday and it contains a duet with rapper LL Cool J that is causing some controversy.
The song is called "Accidental Racist" and Paisley says he wrote the lyrics after he was called a racist on Twitter for wearing a shirt with a Confederate flag on it. He says he wore the shirt because he is a fan of the band Alabama.
Paisley says he and LL Cool J hope the song helps launch a dialogue about prejudice. In the song, Paisley sings about being proud he was raised in the south, while LL Cool J raps about what it's like living in the "hood."
Paisley told The Tennessean that the Twitter comments made him wonder, "is that all it takes" to be considered a racist?
