CANTON, Ohio - There's no Browns game today, but that doesn't mean you can't tailgate for an important cause!
This Veteran's Day, The Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Browns are hosting a bye week tailgate party for the Troops.
The Browns and the Hall of Fame are partnering with the Ohio Military Family Connection to help support four local Ohio-based veteran support organizations - Ohio Combat Veterans, The Arms Forces, Valor Home and the Andy Nowacki Foundation.
For each adult admission purchased to the Hall of Fame by fans dressed in Cleveland Browns attire, a donation of four dollars will be made by the Hall of Fame to these four military support organizations. Three 50/50 raffles and a Chinese raffle featuring a huge variety of prizes will be hosted by the Ohio Military Family Connection until 3 p.m. in the new Hall of Fame Event Center to raise additional funds for the four military support organizations.
Browns fans will also have the chance to meet three Cleveland Browns Alumni inside the Pro Football Hall of Fame from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cleveland Browns defensive back Ernie Kellerman, running back Eric Metcalf and wide receivers Webster Slaughter and Reggie Langhorne will be on hand to meet Browns fans and sign free autographs for admitted patrons.
The tailgate party portion of this event is free.
Fans can party to support the Troops here in Ohio at the outdoor tailgate party with two dollar draft beers and tailgate food available to purchase throughout the day with those proceeds going to help support the organizations.
Browns fans are encouraged to dress up in their most outrageous tailgate attire to compete in the "Best Dressed Browns Fan" contest. First place winner will receive a $100 shopping spree in the Hall of Fame Store.
Chomps, the Cleveland Browns team mascot will make an appearance, and Browns fans can show their Browns pride by displaying their vehicles in the tailgate auto show.
