Last Voice Standing: Lift your voice to help the homeless

CLEVELAND - Have you been told you have a really great voice? Do you love to sing gospel or inspirational music? If the answer is "yes" then the Last Voice Standing wants you!

Last Voice Standing is the perfect opportunity for you to lift your voice for a great cause. The winner will open up for The Evening of Hope Benefit Concert featuring Grammy nominated and Stellar Award winning artist Vashawn Mitchell and Stellar Award winner Maurette Brown Clark.

I want to see you on Saturday, August 2 at Second Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church located at 1881 E. 71st St. in Cleveland. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and is $10 at the door. All of the proceeds benefit Transitional Housing Inc. This organization helps homeless women and children get off the streets. It's one of the oldest residential programs in the country and they give hope to women who feel like giving up on life.

So, come out on Saturday and give it your best. The audition is acapella, but if you make it to the finals you can have live music or tracks played to accompany you.

The emcee is Sam Sylk from 93.1 WZAK and the whole community is invited to watch the finals at 2 p.m..

Auditions begin at 8:30 a.m.  Don't be shy. This is your time to shine. Lift your voice to help the homeless.
