'Dutch Spring' is in full bloom at the Cleveland Botanical Garden on University Circle

10,000 tulips ahead of schedule

CLEVELAND - Feast your eyes on bright swaths of red, yellow, purple and white. Tulips, daffodils, hydrangea, wisteria and pussy willows compete for attention over 10 gorgeous acres of spring at the Cleveland Botanical Garden this weekend.

Warmer than usual spring weather has pushed the season a bit, making this year's show even more dazzling.

Along with a profusion of spring flowers outside and inside the Botanical Garden, from Saturday through Mother's Day weekend you can draw inspiration from some of northeast Ohio's top designers in the Interior Design Showcase. Participants have come up with vignettes of botanically inspired designs for every room of your home.

On April 21 and 22, you have two days only to catch the Invitational Floral Design Show. It features sculpture with flowers, elegant tablescapes and free form design.

The Interior Design Showcase and the Floral Design Show are both free with Garden admission. For more information, visit www.cbgarden.org .
