CLEVELAND - In an effort to reach out to first-time Cleveland goers, the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court has invited some of the city's best food trucks to participate in Memorial Mondays this summer.
The food trucks will be parked alongside the Fort Huntington Park at W. 3rd Street and Lakeside starting Monday, June 2.
The court said Memorial Mondays was started in an effort to improve the experience of jurors summoned to the court.
“We are so thankful for our jurors and we want to encourage them to step outside the Justice Center and take a look at some of what Cleveland has to offer,” says Administrative and Presiding Judge John J. Russo. “Perhaps people who aren’t often downtown will grab some lunch, enjoy the outdoors and walk around the heart of the city. Public Square…Tower City…Voinovich Park…the historic old Court House… there’s so much to see!”
The initial Memorial Monday will feature B&M Barbeque, Fired Up Taco Truck, Manna Food Truck, Chill Pop Shop, and DonutLab.
“We’re thrilled to have another opportunity to showcase Cleveland’s culinary creativity for people who may not normally be downtown,” says Joe Marinucci of the Downtown Cleveland Alliance. “We hope that once the jurors see how downtown Cleveland is thriving, they’ll be back to take in more of the city."
