POSTED: 9:28 am EDT May 5, 2005

A phone message, saying don't talk to the press, was left on the voicemail of a former contestant of "American Idol," Corey Clark, an ABC "Primetime Live" report revealed.

Clark revealed the message during an interview on ABC's "Primetime Live," adding that he and Paula Abdul, 42, and Idol judge, had a romantic, sexual affair.

He claims Abdul said: "I want to look out after you like, like I'm your mom," then, "Well, more like your sister," and that he said, "Cool."

And then he said Abdul said, "Well, maybe more like your special friend."

Clark said the phone call was an attempt to keep him from revealing the details of their affair. He also said Abdul coached him on ways to win the contest.

The call said:

"Hi, it's Paula. Call me back.
"Listen, if the press is trying to talk to you,
you say absolutely nothing.
That's all you do."

On "Good Morning Cleveland" Thursday morning, Clark said, "I would like to see what she has to say today."

Do you think a phone message solidifies claims of a sexual affair between Fallen Idol and Paula Abdul?

Despite coming forward with details of a relationship, Clark said he will not assist the Fox network or "American Idol" officials with an investigation.

"I don't have any intention of helping 'American Idol' out whatsoever, because they haven't helped me out whatsoever," Clark said. "In fact, they have made it very hard for me to do what I am trying to do, which is my career.

"They are going to do what they usually do. Spin it and twist it up."

Clark said he was in love with Abdul and that she broke his heart during the interview. On Thursday morning he said, "Ain't nothing changed."

He said he came forward with his story because he wanted to get a 900-pound gorilla off his back.

A song on his newly released CD is "Paula Ticks." He also has a tell-all book. Both are being sold on the Internet.
