CLEVELAND -- A high school student was arrested Wednesday after another incident of violence took place at a Cleveland school, reported NewsChannel5. The incident took place Wednesday afternoon at East Tech High School. NewsChannel5 reported that the student allegedly threw a chair that struck a teacher.According to police, an altercation took place between a boy student and a girl student. The boy allegedly picked up the chair and was aiming to throw at the girl. The chair missed the girl and struck a teacher instead.The teacher was not seriously injured.This is the third incident of violence at a Cleveland high school in the past two weeks.Earlier this month, students at South High School were suspended after an assistant principal was knocked unconscious with a chair.And last week, a fight at John F. Kennedy High School prompted several arrests, including those of some parents who joined in the scuffle.Mayor Jane Campbell responded earlier this week to the growing violence with her announcement that police will be returned to all Cleveland school buildings.The student involved in this latest case has been suspended for 10 days.Police should be in place at all Cleveland school buildings by next week.
