Oberlin College has been named one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges, in a new U.S. News and World Report ranking.

The school is tied for 20th place, along with the U.S. Naval Academy.

Officials at Oberlin say it improved in 15 out of 19 categories, including faculty resources and alumni giving.

The magazine's list of liberal arts colleges is led by Williams, followed by another Massachusetts school, Amherst College.
