Two students of Avondale Middle School could face criminal charges for allegedly putting hand lotion in a teacher's coffee.

While the teacher left the classroom, Superintendent George Heitsch told the Oakland Press two students, ages 12 and 13 years old, put the lotion in the coffee.

After taking a drink, the teacher noticed a funny taste.

The students were suspended and an investigation is under way.

Officials said putting any type of foreign material inside food is a felony, according to the Oakland Press.
