CLEVELAND - How else do you spend a snowy New Year's Day at Cleveland's Edgewater Park? Kite flying, land windsurfing and polar plunging of course!
Outdoor enthusiasts decided to take some risks to welcome 2013. A group of friends started a tradition that is now four years strong: jumping into the freezing lake with only shorts or boxers on. They call themselves the Ohio City Bears Club and wouldn't miss the tradition for the world.
The windy weather made for a fun day for one kite flyer and a gutsy land windsurfer. We even saw someone trying to surf the waves in the lake, but wasn't very successful.
Here's to a happy and healthy 2013!
