Weekend races at the Lake County Speedway

CLEVELAND - Whether it's speed your looking for,  t he roar of an engine or just some good old fashioned competition
the Lake County Speedway has you covered. Every Saturday you can catch racers of all ages testing their driving skills on the only figure 8 track in NE OH. At only 1/5 of a mile, it's also one of the smallest race tracks in America. T hese racers are rounding it in under 13 seconds with speeds topping 75-80 mph.

Last years Champion in the Late Models division, Keith Platz, says, "fans enjoy the adrenaline rush and the competitive nature of the beast." You are almost certain to see the beast on any given Saturday as the racers all give each other "a rough way to go." Keith says,  "Some times it gets a little out of hand on the race track. If you're not happy with somebody out on the race track you give them a little push"
