ASHTABULA, Ohio - Photographs taken by NewsChannel5 viewers show a waterspout on Lake Erie Monday morning.

Chris Kaplan said the waterspout was located just north of Ashtabula Harbor. Another viewer, Eric Hawkins, caught what appears to be the same waterspout in the same area. Kristen Schupska also sent newsnet5.com a photo of the waterspout.

Jack Redilla stoppped to take his picture while driving to work around 11 a.m. in Avon Lake. He said the water spout lasted for about 3 to 4 minutes. The photo was taken at Veterans Memorial Park boat docks near the corner of Route 83 and Lake Road.

Meteorologist Jason Nicholas said there was a storm on radar in that area at about 10:30 a.m. near Ashtabula that indicated a possible waterspout.
