CLEVELAND - There's a local non-profit right here is northeast Ohio that offers several opportunities to learn. Gina Desantis, is a ceramics artist and instructor at Art house. She offers classes on Mondays and Wednesday for beginners as well as the experienced artists looking to pick up on a few new tricks. You can register for 6 or 8 week classes online at their website arthouseinc.org or just pop in for their open studio sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday from 1 to 4. These are uninstructed on your own session. You do have to pay for your clay but they have 10 clay wheels you can use to wheel throw. Just like in the movies, but not quite as romantic!
Art House is family friendly. Every Saturday, they have opportunities for kids to participate in arts and crafts. Just in time for Halloween, Art House will have their free family open studio. Kids will be able play games, dress up in costumes, create masks ad other crafts along with plenty of picture opportunities. The event is Saturday October 20th from 1-4. Pre-registration is recommended but not required. You can find more information on classes and how to register at their website, arthouseinc.org
