PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Lake County was hit hard by the latest round of storms that hit Tuesday night.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said there have been reports of downed trees and power lines all across the county.
According to FirstEnergy, there were more than 3,000 customers without power in Lake County, as of 11 p.m. Hundreds lost power in Mentor, Concord Township and Perry Township.
In Painesville, police said the 911 system was flooded with calls about damage, including a tree that fell onto a house on Painesville Warren Road.
According to the National Weather Service, weather spotters in Ashtabula County reported damaging winds and hail in Conneaut just before 8 p.m. Weather spotters also reported an accident between a car and a trampoline on US 322 in Ashtabula County.
There were about 1,230 that do not have power in Ashtabula County, as of 11 p.m. Tuesday. Most of the outages were in Andover and Andover Township, according to FirstEnergy.
