AVON, Ohio - Meteorologist Jason Nicholas visited second graders St. Mary's School in Avon Monday.
He spoke to Miss Dunegan's class and talked to the students about all things weather, including how tornadoes and hurricanes form, and our snowfall outlook for this winter.
The students asked about the wind differences between hurricanes and tornadoes and how common each one is. They also learned what to do during a tornado warning and where to go to stay safe.
If you'd like Jason or anyone else from the weather team to visit your school, email him at nicholas@newsnet5.com.
