CLEVELAND - A fast-moving storm has created a nuisance Thursday morning.
The Geauga County Sheriff's Department confirms a home was struck by lightning.
Crews were called out to the 12000 block of Opalocka Drive around 8:30 a.m. for a home that was struck by lightning. According to Chesterland Fire, there was minimal damage and the home did not catch fire. No injuries were reported.
1,400 people are without power in Cuyahoga County, mostly in the Lakewood area, FirstEnergy reports.
Weather-related crashes were reported at I-480 at Grayton, I-77 at Broadway, I-77 at I-490, 176 at W.14th and I-90 at I-71 affecting drivers’ commutes.
