CLEVELAND - Usually, Thanksgiving weather in Cleveland is cool, cloudy and wet. That trend will end this year.
With high pressure in control and winds turning southerly, temperatures along the north coast will soar into the lower 60s on Thanksgiving Day.
Our record high of 66 in 1940 is probably safe. Although I'm not saying that some thermometers south of town couldn't flirt with the upper 60s through the afternoon under sunshine.
Our forecast high for Thursday is 63. The last time it's been that warm on Thanksgiving day was back in 1983, when we hit 63.
The warm air won't last long, though. A cold front will blow through Friday morning and bring falling temperatures into the 40s. Our highs this weekend won't get out of the 30s.
