CLEVELAND - The break wall at the Whiskey Island Marina collapsed early Tuesday morning and sailboats are sinking, Whiskey Island Marina Security said.

At least six sailboats are under water in Lake Erie.  Only the masts can be seen.

Marinasecurity said it happened at about 3 a.m. when a large wave hit the break wall.

It’s been a tough day for marinas. High water swamped the Eastlake Marina, and Christina Wilson of Lakewood, captured a series of photos showing two docks breaking away from Rocky River and one boat floating into Lake Erie.

"It all happened so fast," she said.
