CINCINNATI - Duke Energy workers from Ohio and Kentucky are headed to Cleveland and the East Coast to aid in the recovery efforts from superstorm Sandy.
The crews will meet at the Cincinnati Mills Mall at 8 a.m. Wednesday before heading to some of the hardest hit areas along the East Coast and up north.
Duke Energy's caravan of vehicles will include bucket trucks and pole setting trucks, along with tree trimming equipment.
Some of the crews are also headed to the Cleveland area where tens of thousands of homes and businesses remain in the dark.
Twenty crews with specialized skills in underground restoration will go directly to Manhattan to help rebuild the damaged infrastructure of New York City.
