Sunday Update: Plan on another Warm day as temperatures jump back into the upper 70s to near 80º. The only difference today is that we have a better shot at seeing some storms. And storms that spark up could be strong but should not be widespread or long lasting.
Plan on a lot of dry time so keep your plans in tact but have a back up plan in case.
If you're heading to the Marathon to participate or spectate, plan on warmth. Sunrise temps will hover near 60º before quickly warming into the 70s by 11am. Clouds will thicken through the afternoon leading to the storms I mentioned above.
Saturday PM Update: Temperatures warmed into the lower and middle 80's thanks to plenty of bright sunshine and a light east breeze. Areas lakeside have struggled to warm though. From Sandusky to Mentor, temps have hovered in the 60s and will stay there through the evening.
By sunrise Sunday, temps will have only cooler to near 60º areawide. Plan on a bright sunrise followed by a quick warm up. Noon-time Temps will be in the middle 70s. High Sunday afternoon will once again top out near 80º.
Any storms that spark up Sunday afternoon will be far and few between. Plan on another bright, warm afternoon but be prepared for a quick developing storm. Best chances are along and south of Rt 224 again.
WEEKEND Update:
Saturday will start out dry. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy. Scattered afternoon thunderstorms will likely develop along and south of US Rt 224 from Tiffin to Akron to Youngstown. A few of these thundershowers could slide northward into the Greater Cleveland area by late afternoon. The best chance for dry weather throughout the day will be communities closest to Lake Erie. High temperatures Saturday will climb to near 80º.
Sunday should start out dry as well. 7am temps for all of the Marathon runners out there should be around 60 degrees with partly to mostly cloudy skies. By noon, temperatures will be rising quickly thru the 70s. Expect a little more humidity as well, as dewpoints rise into the lower 60s. Isolated storms will likely pop up during the heat of the afternoon. Some of you will not see rain at all. High temperatures will climb back up into the upper 70s to near 80º.
