7:45 pm Update: You can expect a warm evening with clear skies and temperatures falling into the 70s by 9pm.
A weak cold front will slide over Lake Erie tonight. This may stir up an isolated thunderstorm in one or two spots between Toledo and Lorain after midnight. Lows will drop into the lower and middle 60s, under partly cloudy skies.
The front stalls out along the Lake Erie south shore on Wednesday. Most of us should stay warm, since we will be on the south side of the front. I expect highs in the middle and upper 80s. With the front stalled out nearby, look for at least isolated thunderstorms to develop during the heat of the afternoon.
An upper level low pressure center drops in across the Great Lakes Thursday through Saturday. A surface low will likely slide across Northern Ohio late Thursday into Friday. These features will provide enough instability for scattered showers and low-topped thunderstorms beginning Thursday afternoon, through Friday, and into at least early Saturday. Some of the thunderstorms Thursday could be severe. Clouds and rain will really cool things down. Thursday's highs will hang in the upper 70s/lower 80s. Friday and Saturday highs could struggle to see lower and middle 70s.
Warmest day of the next week arrived tomorrow. High temperatures will soar into the upper 80s on a southerly breeze. A weak cold front will slide south to Lake Erie and then stall during the day Wednesday.

High pressure over Ohio is keeping the sky sunny and wind calm. Morning temperatures are in the 70s.
High pressure will slide toward the East Coast today, bringing warmer, southerly winds into Northeast Ohio. Temperatures will be warmer than yesterday, in the mid-to-upper 80s.
Clear skies continue tonight with comfortable low temperatures in the low 60s.
Sunshine continues Wednesday, but a cold front will arrive late in the day. I'll include an isolated shower or thunderstorm Wednesday evening.
A chance of thunderstorms continues Thursday with cooler highs near 80 degrees.
Much cooler air surges over the Great Lakes Friday, triggering scattered showers and a few storms. Temperatures will drop to the 70s.
The sky will gradually clear Saturday with highs in the mid-70s. Sunny skies prevail Sunday with highs just shy of 80. This will be one of our coolest weeks of the summer!
