9:00 pm Update: Friday looks hot and muggy. A weak cold front will set up right along the south shore of Lake Erie during the day. I would expect a few clouds along this boundary. Still, mostly sunny skies will prevail. An isolated thunderstorm is possible in Lake, Geauga, or Ashtabula County during the afternoon. High temperatures south of the front will climb into the lower and middle 90s. The weak cold front may combine with a lake breeze to keep residents near Lake Erie in the middle and upper 80s during the afternoon.
5:00 pm Update: Temperatures will hover in the 80s thru 9pm tonight. A few high clouds will slide across the region tonight. Lows temperatures will drop into the upper 60s.
4:00 pm Update: A band of former thunderstorms is currently fading out over Lake Erie. While rain won't be a problem this evening, the leftover clouds from those showers will slide southeastward into Ohio this evening and over night. partly cloudy skies should cover that well. Temperatures this evening will stay in the 80s thru 9pm.

Noon Update: Temperatures are already near yesterday's highs. Lower 80s right now with bright sunshine and light SW winds will help us reach 90 today. Some areas might even squeeze out a 91! No rain for us until this weekend.
10:30 a.m. Update: Temperatures have warmed to the mid-70s this morning. We're still on track to hit highs near 90 degrees this afternoon. So far this year, Cleveland has recorded 20 days of 90+ temperatures. We will add a few more days to that total this week.

High pressure is over Ohio this morning, keeping the sky clear and wind calm. Temperatures will start out in the upper 50s and low 60s.
With full sunshine, temperatures will quickly climb to the low 80s by lunchtime and 89 degrees this afternoon. Southern counties could hit 90 degrees today.
Mostly clear skies are expected tonight as high pressure slides over the East Coast. Lows will fall to the upper 60s.
With a southerly wind Friday, highs will soar into the low-to-mid 90s. Friday will be the hottest day of the week.
I can't rule out an isolated thunderstorm Saturday, as a cold front lingers north of Lake Erie. The front arrives Sunday with scattered showers and storms.
Cooler temperatures in the low 80s follow early next week under mostly sunny skies.
