8:00 pm Update: As expected the steady rain is concentrated along and west of Interstate 71. A few showers have popped up around Akron & Youngstown. Areas east of I-77 can expect isolated showers tonight, as the steadier rain remain west. Temperatures will remain in the 40s for the rest of tonight.
6:00 pm Update: Cold front is now east of the area and stalling out from Buffalo, NY to Pittsburgh, Pa. Rain showers are behind the front along and west of I-71. Showers will slowly spread east tonight. Expect at least a few showers for your Friday night activities. Temperatures will cool quickly into the 40s.
Scattered showers are likely tonight under cloudy skies. Lows will drop down into the lower 40s.
Satruday looks quite wet. Steady rain is likely across much of Northern Ohio for several hours at a time. Highs will struggle to reach 50 degrees.
The rain will shift east a bit Saturday night and be concentrated primarily east of Interstate 77. West of that line, only an isolaed shower is expected. Lows will drop down to near 40.
Isolated showers are possible Sunday. Showers will be more numerous during the afternoon closer to the Ohio/Pa State Line.
1:34 pm Update: The light rain will continue east through Ohio this afternoon. Expect this line to expend in coverage through the evening and into the overnight hours. The rain will stay light but steady also so plan for a wet week of Friday Night Football.
12:01 pm Update: The cold front has pushed through NE Ohio dropping our temps quickly. As clouds and rain move in, our warmth moves out. Temps the rest of the day will be on a steady decline. Lower 50s now through sunset with 40s overnight. Grab the jackets and the umbrellas for any evening plans.
Expect rain to reach the I-71 corridor by 2pm and spread area-wide after sunset. The rain will last through the overnight and into our weekend.
Clouds will increase this morning ahead of a slow-moving cold front. Although it's still sunny east of Cleveland, clouds will increase by noon.
High temperatures are tricky today. We'll warm to the mid-60s before the cold front arrives. Behind the front, temperatures will drop to the low-50s this afternoon. Areas that get more sunshine, especially southeast of Cleveland, may approach 70 degrees before cooling.
Showers are possible this afternoon, mainly west of I-71. Rain will increase west to east this evening. Rain could be steady during some Friday night football games.
Overnight, rain is likely everywhere with temperatures dropping to the low 40s.
Rain continues Saturday, heavy at times, as the cold front finally moves east. Some areas could end up with over an inch of rain over the next 36 hours.
Scattered showers continue east of Cleveland Sunday with highs near 50 degrees.
The wildcard in the forecast is Hurricane Sandy. It will evolve into a large, complex storm system over the Northeast and likely bring strong wind, periods of heavy rain and possibly snow showers to Northeast Ohio next Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll be tracking this closely!

A winter storm delivered a sloppy smorgasbord of snow, freezing rain and sleet to the southern Mid-Atlantic region and other states Sunday, with parts of Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey seeing more than 3 inches of accumulation.
There was a mix of snow and slush on the roadways Friday as snowstorms from the south pushed their way into Northeast Ohio.
