CLEVELAND - 8:00 pm Update: Moderate band of snow moving southeast now thru western suburbs of Cleveland as well as Lorain, Medina & Ashland Counties. This band could put down a quick inch or two of snow between now and midnight. Roadways will likely become slippery!

4:00 pm Update: Alberta Clipper low pressure is now in Central Pennsylvania and pulling away. A lingering trough over Lake Erie will continue to feed light snow showers and flurries into Northern Ohio tonight. Accumulations should be well below 1" in most spots. Snow should begin to taper off after midnight. Lows will fall back to around 15 degrees tonight.

Isolated snow flurries are possible Saturday morning. Drier air will work in from the west during the afternoon. So, I do expect some sunshine to end the day. Highs climb into middle 20s. Sunday should be dry with highs in the lower 30s.

12:31 pm Update: Snow is ending west of I-77 and that clearing line will quickly push east. Plan on a few scattered snow showers through the rest of the afternoon. The good news about the snow ending is that we'll actually jump to near 20º before sunset. Wind chills are still in the single digits though so dress in layers and take it easy on the roads.

11:01 am Update: Light and briefly moderate snow continues to push through Ohio. Roads around the state are getting slick as cars pack this light snow down. Be sure to give the plows plenty of space to do their job. This will start to push out during the evening commute.

10:05 am Update: Starting to get reports of up to 1/4" of snow across Akron and Canton this morning. This light and moderate snow will continue through midday and into the afternoon. We'll start to see this taper off closer to 5pm. Drive safely and try to take it easy. Getting in a hurry makes things very dangerous on snowy roads.

9:05 am Update: Light snow now moving into northern Ohio. Widespread light to moderate snow likely through midday. Expect 1-3" before the evening commute. As far as temperatures go, we'll see highs stay in the teens until the snow ends followed by a slight jump to near 20º before sunset.

Drive with caution today and try to keep your guard up, roads could get slick as the snow moves through.

___________________
It's mostly cloudy and dry across Northeast Ohio this morning. For once, you won't have to brush snow off of your car!

However, snow returns later this morning through the afternoon. The best chance comes between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. 1-3" of snow will fall across Northeast Ohio. Most of the snow will be over for the evening rush.

Morning temperatures are in the teens and highs will hit 20 degrees this afternoon. Single digit wind chills are possible this morning.

Aside from some snow showers east of Cleveland Saturday morning, the weekend looks snow-free and warmer. Highs will hover near 30 degrees Sunday.

By Monday, a warmer weather system moves into the state. This will produce rain and possibly isolated freezing rain Monday morning. We'll be watching!

Much warmer air floods the area Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs may hit 50 degrees in some areas Tuesday afternoon! Of course, this comes with a chance of rain.
