CLEVELAND - 9:00 pm Update: Right on schedule. The rain/snow mix is moving quickly into Western Pennsylvania. There are no organized areas of precipitation left across Northern Ohio. I'm going to take rain & snow out of the forecast for the rest of tonight. Even if there is a snow flurry, it would consist of a few flakes and that's it. Enjoy the rest of your Valentine's evening dry!

5:00 pm Update: As expected, a weak cold front approaching from the west has stirred up a few light rain & snow showers around the area. These are widely scattered and should not impact your Valentine's Day evening plans much. Roads will be wet. Temperatures this evening will hang between 35 and 39 degrees. So, you will need a coat. Have a safe Valentine's Day evening!

12:39 pm Update: Plan on a mainly cloudy afternoon as temps struggle to warm. Temperatures are in the middle 30s now and will top out near 40ยบ before colder air sinks in. Expect rain along with colder air to push in during the evening commute and last through much of the evening. Grab the umbrella as you head out for you dinner plans.

9:00 am Update: Clouds will thicken today as a cold front moves east. Expect a chance of rain showers between the hours of 5 and 10 p.m. Our next chance of snow comes Friday afternoon, mainly in Akron and south. We'll be tracking it!
____________
It's a partly sunny start to Valentine's Day. Morning temperatures are warming by the hour as southerly winds move into Northeast Ohio.

A clipper quickly moving across the Great Lakes will arrive this afternoon. Scattered rain showers are possible after 4 p.m. A few showers will continue this evening, so be prepared for a chance of rain if you have dinner plans! High temperatures will hit the low 40s.

As a cold front rolls through late tonight, an isolated snow shower is possible. Otherwise expect mostly cloudy skies and lows in the upper 20s.

Friday will be much cooler, with highs in the low 30s. The morning commute will be dry, but afternoon snow showers are possible in southern counties.

The best chance of snow comes Saturday as cold air spills across the Great Lakes. Highs will only hit the low 20s this weekend.

After a dry start to next week, we're watching a weather system that may bring rain and snow Tuesday.
