HEAT ADVISORY issued for Ottawa, Sandusky, Marion, Morrow & Sandusky Counties for Wednesday afternoon and evening. Highs in the middle and upper 90s expected, with "feels like" temperatures above 100 degrees!
10:32 pm Update: Storms pulling away with the warm front, which is shifting east. That means a drier overnight with just a very small chance for a random storm. Lows tonight will drop to near 70 degrees.
Heat turns up on Wednesday! Highs between 92 and 97 degrees on the way with heat indexes closer to 100 degrees. Good beach weather for you! I can't rule out an isolated storm in a couple of spots. Have a safe and happy Independence Day!

3:40 pm - Latest round of storms have moved southeast out of the area for now. Other storms are beginning to fire now over lower Michigan near Detroit. LATEST DAMAGE REPORTS: In Medina=-penny sized hail reported; Creston=trees down in Sterling; Smithville=pea to nickel sized hail; Bay Village, trees and limbs down.

Update: A strong thunder storm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph is pushing southeast at 35 mph. Stay tuned for more details
A line of thunderstorms is moving across southeastern Michigan right now. Expect brief heavy rain along the lake as cells develop over Northeast Ohio. The Lake Erie islands will also be impacted by heavy rain and gusty winds.
You'll notice warmer and more humid conditions this afternoon. Highs will hit the low 90s with dew points in the upper 60s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop again later today. Some of the storms could be strong with gusty winds and large hail. There are lots of outdoor events tonight including festivals and baseball games... Please check back for the latest forecast this evening!
Overnight, I'll keep the chance of a few thunderstorms in the forecast under partly cloudy skies. Lows will fall to the low 70s.
It will be hot as a firecracker on the Fourth of July! Highs will hit the low-to-mid 90s with dew points in the 70s. It will be very uncomfortable. Scattered storms are possible again in the afternoon and evening. We'll be watching this closely!
Thursday and Friday will be dry and hot as high pressure sits overhead. Expect highs
