12:00 AM UPDATE: No watches or warnings for the Storms in North Western Ohio now. Storms may weaken a bit as they slide into our area overnight. Keep an eye out for heavy rain, gusty winds.
10:50 pm UPDATE: Severe storm over Erie County/Cedar Point Peninsula showing signs of rotation. Expect gusty winds, heavy rain into Huron & Vermilion by 11:30pm.
10:30 pm UPDATE: New storms developing in Lake & Cuyahoga Counties. Heavy rain the main threat here. Storms moving NE @ 20 mph. Other storms continue in Richland County and over the Lake Erie Islands.
8:34 pm UPDATE: A stationary front over Northern Ohio now will be the focus for more showers and thunderstorms tonight through Friday night. An area of low pressure will travel along the front across Northern Ohio tonight and Friday. Isolated thunders torms are possible area wide overnight. Skies will remain mostly cloudy with low temperatures dropping back into the middle and upper 60s.
More widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday morning and then again Friday afternoon. Skies will be mainly cloudy through the day Friday with high temperatures in the lower and middle 70s.
8:15 pm UPDATE: Quiet weather settling in for now. A couple of thundershowers lining up now between Akron & Canton. Isolated showers in Geauga, Ashtabula & Trumbull Counties. A few thundershowers over the Western basin of Lake Erie moving toward the Islands now.
5:40 pm UPDATE: Small thunderstorm over Southern Geauga County moving East @ 15 mph. Brief heavy rains Burton to Middlefield.
5:35 pm UPDATE: Heavy rain moving northeast toward Downtown Akron. Should arrive by 6pm.
5:24 pm UPDATE: Line of strong/severe storms from Y'town to Dover to Coshocton. Moving E @ 20mph.
4:45 pm UPDATE: T'storm WATCH for Coshocton, Columbiana, Carroll, Tuscarawas Co until 10pm. #ohwx @WEWSweather Strong thunderstorms developing now along a surface trough from near Youngstown to Zoar to Coshocton.
4:35 pm UPDATE: Isolated storms developing now in Central Wayne County & Ashland Counties. Storms are moving northeast @ 20 mph. Not severe at this time. Heavy rain the main threat. Wooster Smithville, Orrville, Rittman, Jeromesville are the cities to watch.
4:20 pm UPDATE: Line of severe storms forming now from Columbus southwest to Cincinnati. These storms will slide east through Southern Ohio. This limits our severe weather chances for Northern Ohio this evening.
As mentioned in previous discussions, morning rain and storms have stabilized the atmosphere across our viewing area this afternoon. However, thunderstorm activity has begun to increase along a low pressure/stationary front in Northern Indiana & Northwestern Ohio. These storms will likely shift east into the areas west of Interstate 71 by 6pm. Other storms could fire along the stationary front as well. This front now stretches from Youngstown to Cleveland, west to Findlay.
Storms along this surface front could produce damaging straight line winds, some large hail, and, even and isolated tornado thru 10pm.

1:22 p.m. Update: It'll stay mainly dry through the middle part of the day. As the sun breaks through the clouds expect temps to warm into the upper 70s and lower 80s. I'm still monitoring storms that could develop this afternoon.
11:06 a.m. Update: The rain is generally located near Wayne County. Expect light rain off and on through midday with the stronger storms holding off until closer to this evening. Temps will struggle to warm much under the cloud deck, we are just now touching 70º.
9:42 a.m. Update: Tracking light rain stretching from Wooster through Ashland Co to Norwalk and Sandusky. Expect this line to push NE through late morning with occasional brief downpours. The heaviest rain is near Coshocton Co and will slide through NE OH over the next couple hours.
9:00 a.m. Update: Heavy rain pushing out of Cuyahoga County through Geauga Co. The next round of rain is entering Richland & Ashland Counties right now. Keep the umbrella around through the morning hours.
