Forecast: Mainly dry weather through Friday

9:00 pm Update: Our warm-up will be slow to arrive over the next few days. A weak cold front is currently dropping south through Northern Ohio now. It has stirred up patchy clouds but little in the way of sprinkles or flurries. I will still mention the threat for a brief snow flurry in Lake, Geauga, & Ashtabula Counties this evening. Temperatures will fall slowly through the 30s through 9pm.

It will be another cold night tonight. Skies will be partly cloudy. Temperatures will drop back into the lower and middle 20s again. Grab the winter coats as you head out.

Thursday should see more sunshine during the day. That will help temperatures climb into the middle 40s for highs.

Another weak cold front will drop south across Ontario on Friday and then stall over Lake Erie. Skies will be mostly cloudy in response to the front. An isolated rain shower is also possible during the day. Highs will climb into the middle and upper 40s.

The stalled front moves back north as a warm front on Saturday, setting the stage for a nice warm-up for the weekend. Saturday will be partly cloudy with highs near 53. Sunday looks even warmer, with highs near 57. A wave of rain will move eastward through our area during the day Sunday, so we'll have to be on the look-out for scattered rain showers.

Clouds are still lingering east of Cleveland along the lake. I can't rule out flurries in Ashtabula County this afternoon or evening.

For the rest of the area, high pressure building in from the west will keep the sky sunny. Despite sunshine, temperatures will only hit 39 degrees.

Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast tonight, but it will stay dry. Lows will once again drop into the mid-20s.

High pressure moves east Thursday, bringing plentiful sunshine. Highs will be warmer, around 45 degrees.

Clouds increase Friday through the weekend as a weak cold front arrives, but temperatures warm to the 50s. Southerly winds will keep temperatures above average through next Tuesday.

A chance of rain comes Sunday afternoon and evening. Another chance arrives late Tuesday as a stronger cold front approaches Ohio.
