CLEVELAND - 7:44 pm Update: High pressure builds in tonight with skies likely to remain mostly cloudy. Lows will drop back into the low to mid 20s.

Patchy clouds will linger through the day Wednesday. We should be able to get some sunshine to peek through as well. High temperatures should easily climb up to near 40 degrees.

The high pressure will weaken and move quickly off to the east Wednesday night. this will allow a surface low pressure over the central and southern plains to move northeast into the Central Great Lakes Thursday. Ohio will be on the warm side of things for this system. Rain will likely spread northward across our area late Wednesday night. Rain showers are likely Thursday, mainly during the morning hours as highs climb into the 45 to 50 degree range.

3:15 pm Update: Weakening weather system moving east of the area now. Drier air working in from the west. Lighter snows continue from east of a line from near Elyria south to Wooster and Millersburg. the light snow and drizzle will continue to shift slowly east through the evening. The light precipitation should not hinder an enjoyable evening out with your Valentine. Temperatures will hover in the low to mid 30s this evening.

Light snow is falling, mainly SE of Cleveland. Expect an inch or two, tops, of snow. Highs will run in the mid 30s. Tracking a warm up Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the 40s. Rain arrives late Wednesday into Thursday.

Update: Light snow continues east of Cleveland this morning, while most other areas are getting a brief break. Expect more snow to arrive before lunchtime and continue through the evening rush. Snow totals will be a trace to 2" across Northeast Ohio.
_____________
Scattered snow showers are in the forecast today as a weak area of low pressure moves across the Eastern US. Expect a trace to 2" of snow through evening. High temperatures will reach the mid-30s.

A few snow showers will linger overnight with isolated freezing drizzle possible. However, high pressure quickly builds in Wednesday, bringing dry weather and slightly warmer temperatures in the upper 30s.

We're watching low pressure over the southwest to bring us rain Thursday. Temperatures will surge into the mid-40s, causing melting snow in addition to .50" of rain. We'll be following river levels closely!

Dry weather returns at the end of the week with cooler highs in the upper 30s.

A quick moving disturbance will bring a chance of snow Saturday, otherwise the weekend looks dry and cool.
