9:45 pm Update: Steady rain is likely area wide overnight with some areas seeing as much as 1" of rain by 7am Saturday. Lows tonight will bottom out in the middle and upper 50s.

Widely scattered showers are possible Saturday with several dry hours in between each rain shower. High temperatures under a mostly cloudy sky will climb into the lower and middle 60s.

Browns Sunday looks cool with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s. A few Lake Effect rain showers will slide off of Lake Erie into Northern Lorain County east thru Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga & Ashtabula Counties during the day. The rest of the viewing area should stay dry on Sunday.

7:45 pm Update: Scattered showers have moved into Greater Cleveland now. Temperatures remain mild...in the 60s.

5:00 pm Update: Rain showers are ahead of schedule. They will arrive from southwest to northeast thru the evening hours. Some areas near Mansfield and Bucyrus will be wet for High School Football kickoff time. The rain will race north along Interstate 71 and arrive in Greater Cleveland and Akron between 8:30 & 9:30pm. Most other games will start dry and end with rain. Take the rain gear with you. Temperatures will hold in the 60s thru 9pm.

12:38 p.m. Update: Just watching a few clouds move in our sky this afternoon. Most if not all of the rain will hold off until closer to midnight. An isolated shower if possible closer to sunset south of I-80 before more widespread heavier rain pushes in. Grab the umbrella if you plan of staying out late this evening!

After a mild start to the day, look for a mix of clouds and sunshine this afternoon. High temperatures will be pleasant, near 73 degrees.

Clouds will thicken for Friday night football games. The latest computer models indicate rain will move in after 7 p.m. This is a change from my morning forecast! Temperatures will hover near 70 degrees at 6 p.m., falling to 65 by 9 p.m. Take the rain gear and be prepared for a wet game in most areas.

Rain is likely everywhere overnight as low pressure moves through Ohio. Rain will gradually end from west to east before noon Saturday.

Scattered showers will follow Saturday afternoon as disturbances rotate across the Great Lakes. Look for highs in the mid-60s with the best chance of rain along the lake. Areas south of Akron will stay mainly dry.

Sunday will be cooler, barely 60 degrees. Scattered lake effect rain showers are possible east of Cleveland.  Dress warmly for the Browns game!

We'll start next week on a sunny note with highs in the mid-60s.
