CLEVELAND - Follow Christine on Facebook and Twitter for forecast updates.

11 p.m. Update:  High clouds are moving in from the west tonight. Temperatures have already dropped to the upper 20s in Akron, Canton, Wooster and Dover. Although a cold front is hanging over Lake Erie, I don't expect any precipitation overnight. Isolated rain/snow showers are still possible in far Northeastern Ohio tomorrow.
_________
After a gorgeous day, temperatures will drop quickly under clear skies. Evening temperatures will hover in the mid-to-upper 30s.

Partly cloudy skies are in the forecast overnight with lows near 30 degrees along the lake. Upper 20s are likely farther south.

Clouds will gradually increase Friday afternoon as a weak cold front lingers over Lake Erie. There could be a few morning rain or snow showers along the immediate lakeshore east of Cleveland.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, but mild. High temperatures will jump to the low 50s as a warm front moves north of the lake.

A cold front will approach Ohio Sunday bringing a chance of afternoon rain. But the front will stall and stay north us Monday. That will keep mild temperatures near 60 degrees in the forecast through Monday.

A stronger cold front arrives Tuesday, knocking temperatures to the 40s by mid-week. Rain showers are possible Tuesday afternoon.

12:30 pm Update: Bright sunshine and light southwest winds are warming us back to where we are supposed to be. Typical afternoon highs this time of year are in the middle 40s, tomorrow we'll be above that!

10:19 am Update: Temperatures are already in the upper 30s to near 40º and not even noon yet. Our afternoon high of 45º is still on target. Bright sunshine will hang around along with a light southwest breeze. No need for the heavy coats but rather a light jacket.

Say goodbye to the mornings in the 20s and afternoons in the 30s, at least for the next week. Warmer air is surging northward into Ohio and will stick around through much of next week.

Temperatures this afternoon will warm into the middle 40s under a bright sunshine with only a few fair weather clouds. A weak front will settle in tonight and Friday bringing more clouds but temperatures will still stay steady. Expect a few showers over Lake Erie and in our lake bordering counties Friday as temps return to the middle 40s. Areas south of I-80 could reach 50º.

As we head into the weekend, look like more warmth will push in. Saturday will be partly sunny with widespread 50s for afternoon highs and by Sunday we could see a few 60s south of I-80. Along with the warmth comes a good shot at some rain also for our Sunday afternoon. We'll keep isolated showers in for Monday as more warmth moves in. Expect near 60º afternoon temps area-wide Monday before our next cold front rushes in.

Tuesday will be our last warm day for awhile as colder air returns and afternoon highs drop into the 30s to finish the work-week and morning hold in the 20s again. If you're making plans to get outside this weekend, Saturday will be your best chance to get out there and enjoy it!
