Get ready for the coldest air we've seen this season. Temperatures will struggle to warm much this afternoon as clouds and rain will keep most of Ohio in the 40s. In addition to the jackets, take along the umbrellas. Scattered showers are likely through the afternoon but should clear our by sunset.

After sunset we shift our focus to the chill. A freeze watch is in effect for most of northeast Ohio as temps will drop quickly into the 30s overnight. For most, Sunday night will end the growing season for 2012. The first freeze is also the end of our fall foliage hopes. The frost on the leaves will stop the process the produces those beautiful colors.

Be sure to take care of your delicate gardens and flowers Sunday to ensure they stay healthy. Temperatures will rebound quickly back into the 50s Monday and middle 60s by Tuesday before our next shot of cold air and rain pushes in Wednesday.
