CLEVELAND - MORNING UPDATE: High pressure slides east of Ohio today. But, its still close enough to thwart most, if not all, of the rain showers from reaching you today. The threat for thunder today is less than 10%. Don't cancel any outdoor plans.

Isolated thunder possible overnight tonight under mainly cloudy skies. Lows tonight will range fromo 60 to 65 degrees.

Sunday looks similar to today. There is a slightly better chance for thundershowers across the region. Will, once again, climb into the lower and middle 80s. Welcome to August!

4:15 UPDATE: High pressure will remain over Ohio tonight. Most of the clouds will fade after sunset. Calm and quiet thru tonight with lows from 56 to 62 degrees.

4pm UPDATE: Mark Johnson signing in. Outstanding weather for the evening. Outdoor activities are encouraged. Few clouds w/ temps in the 70s.

2:00 p.m. Update: A tiny shower developed over the lake and quickly dissapated.  Some clouds will float over Cuyahoga, Geauga, Summit, and Portage County from that shower, briefly blocking sunshine.  Otherwise, we'll see partly cloudy skies for the rest of the day, with highs around 80 degrees.  Have a great weekend!  -Christine

11:00 a.m. Update: Temperatures are warming nicely this afternoon.  Most areas are in the mid 70s with sunshine.  We're still on for a high near 80 degrees, but it gets slightly warmer this weekend.

8:00 a.m. Tropical Update: There is a small tropical wave off the coast of Venezuela.  This cluster of thunderstorms is not expected to develop into a tropical system, but we'll keep an eye on it.  There's also a tropical wave off the coast of Africa.  This system has a low probability of developing in the next two days.

In northern Ohio, it's a cool morning with temperatures in the low 60s.  The high today will be below average for this time of the year, near 80 degrees.

_____________

High pressure will bring another round of comfortable weather to northern Ohio today.  Expect low humidity and temperatures a degree shy of 80.

Tonight, give the a/c a break!  Temperatures will be in the low 60s with clear conditions.

High clouds increase Saturday, but most of the day will be dry.  A weak disturbance will produce a few showers late Saturday into early Sunday.

Next week, temperatures and humidity levels climb.  The hottest day will be Tuesday, with a high of 90 degrees.
