CLEVELAND - High pressure over the East Coast will stay locked in place for the next four days. This will pump up the heat and humidity in northeast Ohio, with highs in the low 90s through Thursday.
Humidity will also be at uncomfortable levels, with the heat index running in the mid-to-upper 90s. Be sure to wear light colored clothing, sunblock, and a hat this week. Keep yourself well hydrated and check on children, neighbors, and pets in the heat.
Temperature relief finally comes Friday, as a cold front crosses the area. Showers and thunderstorms are likely along the front.
Temperatures will fall to the low 80s, with lows in the mid-60s for the upcoming weekend.
