CLEVELAND - A sinkhole has swallowed West 54th Street from curb to curb for about 25 feet just north of Franklin Boulevard.
Crews at the scene would only say that it was partly caused by a broken sewer main. The hole is about 10 feet deep at its deepest point.
Traffic westbound on Franklin Boulevard is getting through but drivers should be aware that crews will be working in the area for the next couple days while they repair the pipe and fill the hole.
Residents living on West 54th Street can get to their homes from the north off of Detroit Avenue.
